2. Get to the left as far as possible — even a small amount of additional clearance helps
3. Do not open doors on the traffic side — especially at the summit where wind can catch doors violently
4. If you must exit: Exit from the uphill/left side only, and move immediately behind a barrier or as far from the carriageway as possible
5. Do not attempt to push or roll the vehicle — on the Remutaka's gradient this is extremely dangerous
